Overview
The ASRock Intel Arc B580 Challenger OC 12GB is ASRock's factory-overclocked dual-fan Arc B580, one of the last widely listed B580 cards in the US in late 2026. It has 20 Xe cores and 12GB of GDDR6 on a 192-bit bus at 19 Gbps, for 456 GB/s of bandwidth. ASRock runs it at 2,740 MHz graphics clock out of the box, against Intel's 2,670 MHz reference figure. It is aimed at 1080p and 1440p gaming with XeSS 2.
At 249 mm long and two slots thick it fits most cases, including many compact ones, and it needs one standard 8-pin cable. Board power is 190W (Intel reference; ASRock publishes no figure), ASRock recommends a 650W power supply, and it takes 1x 8-pin PCIe. For cooling it uses two fans with 0dB fan stop. Other features: metal backplate, LED indicator with an on/off switch.
For local AI, 12GB holds 8B models at 8-bit and 12B to 14B models at 4-bit, with 456 GB/s keeping token generation quick; a 32B model needs a 24GB or larger card. Intel supports Arc in PyTorch (XPU) and OpenVINO, and llama.cpp and LM Studio run on it through SYCL or Vulkan; tools that only support CUDA will not run on it.

Questions and answers
Still unsure? Visit the help center or message us.
What power supply does the ASRock Intel Arc B580 Challenger OC need?
ASRock recommends 650W, which allows for a high-end CPU as well. It uses 1x 8-pin PCIe, standard cables that most power supplies have.
Will the ASRock Intel Arc B580 Challenger OC fit my case?
At 249 mm long and two slots thick it fits most cases, including many compact ones, and it needs one standard 8-pin cable.
Is 12GB enough for local AI?
For local AI, 12GB holds 8B models at 8-bit and 12B to 14B models at 4-bit, with 456 GB/s keeping token generation quick; a 32B model needs a 24GB or larger card.
Does it work with AI tools that need CUDA?
No. CUDA is NVIDIA-only. Intel supports Arc in PyTorch (XPU) and OpenVINO, and llama.cpp and LM Studio run on it through SYCL or Vulkan, so popular local-AI apps work, but tools written only for CUDA do not.
