Overview
The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5060 Eagle OC 8GB is a short dual-fan card built on NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5060, the entry point to the RTX 50 series. It has 3,840 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR7 on a 128-bit bus at 28 Gbps, for 448 GB/s of bandwidth. Gigabyte runs it at 2,550 MHz boost out of the box, against NVIDIA's 2,497 MHz reference figure. It is aimed at 1080p gaming at high refresh rates with DLSS.
At 208 mm long it fits almost any case, including mini-ITX builds, and it needs only one standard 8-pin cable. Board power is 145W (NVIDIA reference; Gigabyte publishes no figure), Gigabyte recommends a 550W power supply, and it takes 1x 8-pin PCIe. For cooling it uses WINDFORCE: two Hawk fans spinning in alternate directions with fan stop, a copper plate and composite copper heat pipes. Other features: short 208 mm card, reinforced backplate fixed to the I/O bracket.
For local AI, 8GB runs 7B to 8B models at 4-bit and image generation at 1024 pixels, but 12B and larger models do not fit; pick a 16GB card if AI matters. CUDA support is broad, so PyTorch, llama.cpp, Ollama, LM Studio and ComfyUI run on it directly.
