Overview

The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5090 Gaming OC 32GB is Gigabyte's triple-fan RTX 5090, the fastest consumer graphics card and the most-requested card for local AI in 2026. It has 21,760 CUDA cores and 32GB of GDDR7 on a 512-bit bus at 28 Gbps, for 1,792 GB/s of bandwidth. Gigabyte runs it at 2,550 MHz boost out of the box, against NVIDIA's 2,407 MHz reference figure. It drives 4K at very high refresh rates and 8K with DLSS.

At 342 mm long and 70 mm thick it takes about 3.5 slots, so it needs a full-size case; plan for a 1000W power supply with a native 16-pin cable. Board power is 575W (NVIDIA reference; Gigabyte publishes no figure), Gigabyte recommends a 1000W power supply, and it takes 1x 16-pin (12V-2x6). For cooling it uses WINDFORCE: three Hawk fans spinning in alternate directions, a large vapor chamber, composite copper heat pipes and server-grade thermal gel. Other features: dual BIOS (Performance / Silent), RGB Halo lighting, reinforced metal backplate, power-fault LED, support bracket included.

For local AI, 32GB holds 32B models at 4-bit to 6-bit entirely in VRAM, and 1,792 GB/s of bandwidth makes it the fastest consumer card for token generation; 70B models run with part of the model in system memory. It is also the card of choice for video generation and large image models. CUDA support is broad, so PyTorch, llama.cpp, Ollama, LM Studio and ComfyUI run on it directly.

What power supply does the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5090 Gaming OC need?

Gigabyte recommends 1000W, which allows for a high-end CPU as well. It uses 1x 16-pin (12V-2x6); use a native 12V-2x6 cable from an ATX 3.1 power supply where you can, and push the plug fully home.

Will the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5090 Gaming OC fit my case?

At 342 mm long and 70 mm thick it takes about 3.5 slots, so it needs a full-size case; plan for a 1000W power supply with a native 16-pin cable.

Is 32GB enough for local AI?

For local AI, 32GB holds 32B models at 4-bit to 6-bit entirely in VRAM, and 1,792 GB/s of bandwidth makes it the fastest consumer card for token generation; 70B models run with part of the model in system memory. It is also the card of choice for video generation and large image models.

Is this a new card?

Yes. It ships new and factory-sealed, with the maker's warranty, insured and tracked to your door.
