Overview
The MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Gaming Trio OC 16GB is a triple-fan partner card built on NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with the full 16GB of memory, a popular pick for budget local AI as well as gaming. It has 4,608 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 on a 128-bit bus at 28 Gbps, for 448 GB/s of bandwidth. MSI runs it at 2,647 MHz boost out of the box and 2,662 MHz in Extreme Performance mode in MSI Center, against NVIDIA's 2,572 MHz reference figure. It is aimed at 1080p at high refresh rates and 1440p with DLSS.
It is 300 mm long and 44 mm thick, a little over two slots, and the PCIe interface runs at x8, which costs little performance on PCIe 4.0 or 5.0 boards. Board power is 180W (MSI), MSI recommends a 600W power supply, and it takes 1x 16-pin (12V-2x6). For cooling it uses three STORMFORCE fans with ZERO FROZR fan stop, nickel-plated copper baseplate and square-core heat pipes. Other features: metal backplate with thermal pads, LED lighting behind a frosted cover, support stand included.
For local AI, 16GB holds 8B models at 8-bit and 12B to 14B models at 4-bit to 6-bit with a useful context window, and 448 GB/s of bandwidth sets how fast tokens come out. A 32B model at 4-bit needs about 20GB and will not fit entirely. CUDA support is broad, so PyTorch, llama.cpp, Ollama, LM Studio and ComfyUI run on it directly.

What power supply does the MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Gaming Trio OC need?
MSI recommends 600W, which allows for a high-end CPU as well. It uses 1x 16-pin (12V-2x6); use a native 12V-2x6 cable from an ATX 3.1 power supply where you can, and push the plug fully home.
Will the MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Gaming Trio OC fit my case?
It is 300 mm long and 44 mm thick, a little over two slots, and the PCIe interface runs at x8, which costs little performance on PCIe 4.0 or 5.0 boards.
Is 16GB enough for local AI?
For local AI, 16GB holds 8B models at 8-bit and 12B to 14B models at 4-bit to 6-bit with a useful context window, and 448 GB/s of bandwidth sets how fast tokens come out. A 32B model at 4-bit needs about 20GB and will not fit entirely.
Is this a new card?
